
Senior Coach
Peter Fishler came to BAC from the University Club of Palo Alto, where he served as Head Coach and Aquatics Director from 2022 - 2025. While there, he oversaw the successful rebuilding and rebranding of the club swim team from the Matadero Creek Aquatic Club to University Club Swimming, as well as qualifying the club's first Far Western Qualifiers since 2016. He also served as the UC Sharks Summer team coach, helping the Sharks reach their highest finish in the PSA in 2025 since the pre-COVID era. Finally, as Aquatics Director, he launched the UC Swim School to organize and structure all swim lessons at the club, creating a streamlined pipeline for the multiple swim teams offered at the club.
Prior to the UCPA, Peter served as the Head Coach of Westside Aquatics in Los Angeles, CA from 2018 - 2022. While there, his athletes turned in record setting performances at the SCS Club Championship "Super JO" meet, as well as qualifying for Sectionals, Futures, Junior National and US Open meets.
He also served as a swim coach for Palisades Charter High School in Pacific Palisades, CA from 2011 - 2022. While there, the Dolphins won 16 of a possible 18 LA City CIF Championship titles (no championship in 2020, no team score in 2021). The girls team won a total of 51 events and had 120 top 3 performances, while the boys team won 51 events and had 102 medal worthy performances, all at the LA City CIF Championships from 2012 - 2019, 2021 - 2022.
With no prior competitive experience, Peter began swimming for Palisades Charter High School in 2003. By his senior year, he had helped Pali achieve 3 City Championships, scoring in all 4 years at the LA City Championship in the top 10 in both individual events. He was recognized as All-Los Angeles City Team (1st and 2nd place per event) on 6 separate occasions. While swimming for three years at Franklin & Marshall College, he was a 12-time Centennial Conference Champion, winning individual titles in the 100 & 200 Freestyles in 2008 and 2009. He also earned two NCAA Championship “B” cuts and 15 time All-Centennial Conference awards.
