Lifeguard

As a Lifeguard at Burlingame Aquatic Club, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment for all pool users. This position requires constant vigilance, quick decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

• •Maintain constant surveillance of pool areas and swimmers
• •Enforce pool rules and safety regulations
• •Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations
• •Perform water rescues and administer first aid when necessary
• •Maintain clean and organized pool deck and equipment areas
• •Assist with pool maintenance and chemical testing as needed
• •Provide excellent customer service to club members and guests

Required:

• •Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
• •Current CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer Certification
• •Current First Aid Certification
• •Strong swimming abilities
• •Excellent observation and communication skills
• •Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods

Preferred:

• •Previous lifeguarding experience
• •Experience working with children and adults
• •Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish)

Part-time position with flexible scheduling available, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Pay Range: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
