Blake is a former member of the UC Davis water polo team and the US National team.  She began her water polo career in college where she immediately found her home defending the cage. She had great success during her college career earning multiple All - Americans, MVP awards and a Bronze medal in the 1998 Olympic Festival.

Through her years as a goalie, Blake had the rare opportunity to work will some of the best coaches in the sport ranging from Jamey Wright to Richard Corso and credits Megan Hernandez with honing her goalie instincts.  Megan was her first official "goalie coach". A formidable field player and former member of the National Team, Megan was never a goalie, but her insight and perspective on how to anticipate the actions and movements of field players gave Blake the edge she needed against her competitors.

Blake has coached at the high school level and held goalie clinics for USWP all over the United States. She also enjoys the occasional pick up game and being a member of the BAC Masters swim team.
